Dr Joel Carlton, Deputy Dean of Hertfordshire Business School, has been appointed to the International Committee of the Chartered Association of Business Schools (CABS). His role on the committee will see him contribute to discussions on key global issues affecting the internationalisation of business education, both in the UK and abroad.

CABS represents the academic leadership of business schools in the UK, with its International Committee focusing on challenges such as global collaborations and the development of internationally relevant curricula.

Joel, who has held his position as Deputy Dean within the University of Hertfordshire’s Business School since 2023, said:

“I am honoured and delighted to represent Hertfordshire Business School and the University of Hertfordshire on the International Committee of the Chartered Association of Business Schools. As the only University out of 252 organisations to have achieved the King’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade, I am looking forward to sharing our story, and of course learning and collaborating with fellow committee members addressing issues faced by Business Schools, which make such a positive difference to our communities.”

Joel’s appointment is a recognition of his leadership at Hertfordshire Business School and the school’s broader commitment to fostering international collaborations and producing globally aware graduates. The International Committee of CABS will benefit from his insights as it seeks to advance the international standing of UK business schools in an increasingly competitive global landscape.
