Herts Dean of the School of Physics, Engineering and Computer Science elected as president of the Aerosol Society
Daniel McCluskey, Dean of the School of Physics, Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Hertfordshire and Professor of Aerosol Biodetection Technology, has been elected as the new President of the Aerosol Society at their annual AGM and conference.
Professor McCluskey brings a wealth of experience and an exceptional track record of leadership, innovation and collaboration. As a Dean at Herts, he has demonstrated strategic vision and a deep commitment to advancing engineering education, research, and enterprise. His ability to foster successful multidisciplinary collaborations between academia and industry has positioned him as a leading figure in his field.
For over 30 years the Aerosol Society has been bringing together academia, government bodies and industry to advance the scientific knowledge and supporting infrastructure to the study of airborne particles. Members’ interests are numerous and include climate and atmospheric modelling, nanotechnology, development of inhaled therapies and air pollution.
Professor McCluskey’s expertise and ongoing work in the development of aerosol biodetection technologies at the University of Hertfordshire sees him well placed to lead the organisation as its president, with his research and leadership aligned with the core ambitions of the society.
