Civil Engineering Degree Apprenticeship

About the course

Final Award: BEng Hons Civil Engineering

The Civil Engineering Apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to gain a BEng (Hons) degree in civil engineering while working towards Chartered Civil Engineer status. Developed in collaboration with UK civil engineering employers, this apprenticeship programme spans 4.5 years and provides a dynamic learning environment.

Apprentices will work alongside experienced professionals in a team environment, contributing to the development, design, construction, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of civil engineering infrastructure. This hands-on experience allows apprentices to apply theoretical knowledge directly to real-world projects.

Employers cover tuition fees through the apprenticeship levy while providing apprentices with a competitive salary. This arrangement allows apprentices to earn while they learn, gaining valuable experience and practical skills in a dynamic civil engineering role.

By the end of the apprenticeship, you’ll graduate as a highly skilled professional equipped with both academic qualifications and practical experience and ready to make significant contributions to the field of civil engineering.

Why choose this course?

Are you inspired to play a part in the design, construction, and maintenance of the structures that shape our world? Civil engineers play a vital role in both public and private sector organisations and contribute to projects ranging from infrastructure development to research and development initiatives.

Created in partnership with leading employers, our civil engineer degree apprenticeship enables you to develop in-demand professional engineering skills and progress your engineering career, all while gaining a university degree and a professional qualification.
