Aseptic Training for ATMP Manufacturing Practitioners

About the course

This bespoke course, designed in collaboration with the industry's leading ATMP innovators and manufacturers, aims to provide comprehensive training for practitioners working in Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products manufacturing. Students will be given the opportunity to gain practical skills as well as develop a clear understanding of the important concepts and priniciples for aseptic manufacturing.

The course will provide a comprehensive theoretical knowledge of the priniciples and operational aspects necessary for aseptic manufacturing of cell and gene therapy products in line with European regulatory guidance for GMP production. Students will have a full day of state-of-the-art virtual reality training followed by three days of practical activities in industry-standard clean room facilities. Practical skills, knowledge and understanding will be assessed for successful completion of the course.

This course has been specifically designed for staff working within the ATMP industry or students on the degree apprentinceship programme with ATMP manufacturing as part of their training programme. A pass in GCSE English language and maths (or equivalent) is required. Two A levels in a science subject or equivalent is also normally required.  Students would normally be working in technical services or QA services where ATMPs are manufactured.
