Kinesio UK Taping Course Level 1 & 2 (Fundamentals and Advanced)

About the course

The Kinesio UK Level 1 course introduces practitioners to the Kinesio Taping Method. During the 8 hour course, the fundamental concepts of Kinesio Taping will be discussed and practitioners will learn basic taping methods using Kinesio Tape. Attendees will be given time to practice Kinesio Taping applications in order to enhance their clinical skills. Upon completion of this course, attendees will be able to apply the Kinesio Taping Method to relax overuse syndromes, stimulate weak muscles and decrease pain and swelling. 

The Kinesio UK Level 2 course consists of advanced concepts and corrective techniques, building on the material taught in level 1. During this 8 hour course, attendees will learn about the six corrective techniques (Mechanical, Functional, Space, Fascia, Ligament/Tendon, and Lymphatic) and discuss their applications. Attendees will have time to practice applying these techniques. Upon completion of this course, practitioners will be able to discuss and apply the Kinesio Taping Method for orthopaedic and neurological conditions.

Target Audience

If you are a student of the University of Hertfordshire you are eligible to attend this course. You must have a level 4 understanding of anatomy and physiology, in particular, origins and insertions of muscles.

This course is available to sports therapists, sport and exercise scientists, physiotherapists, osteopaths, chiropractors, exercise specialists and personal trainers. Additional health practitioners will be considered if you contact the course leader (Dr Charlotte Gautrey).
