Become a hub leader

The UK-wide team of hub leaders is at the very heart of PSQM. If you’re eager to raise the profile of science and transform the quality of science education for all children, why not work with us to empower science subject leaders?

The hub leader network consists of some of the very best educators in primary science, who come from a range of professional settings including schools, universities, local authorities, Multi Academy Trusts, and teaching schools. Members of the network are united by an overwhelming passion for primary science education and a commitment to teacher development.

What do PSQM hub leaders do?

PSQM hub leaders facilitate the PSQM programme for clusters of schools, forming a dynamic 'hub.' Within each hub, a vibrant community of practice emerges, cultivated by the adept guidance of hub leaders. These leaders skilfully support science subject leaders in navigating the process of identifying whole school needs, implementing targeted actions, and fostering reflective practice. In this collaborative space, professional confidence and autonomy flourish, creating a supportive environment for continuous growth well beyond the PSQM year.

Why become a PSQM hub leader?

The hub leader development programme: PSQM is leading the way for the sector in the quality assurance and development of professional development leaders through its hub leader development programme. This innovative programme provides a clear development route via in-house induction, mentoring, workshops and professional discussions.

Sector recognition: PSQM hub leaders are widely recognised and esteemed within the primary science community.
