Global Week
What is Global Week?
The University has hosted Europe Week since 2004. The event was widened in 2021 to Global Week to reflect that we now welcome participants from partner universities across the world.
Global Week 2025 will be confirmed soon.
Global Week will take the form of a series of lectures and seminars to our students on international and intercultural topics, most of which will locate in taught modules within programmes. However, in addition we will offer a significant number of open lectures to all students on topics likely to be of interest to a wider audience. The programme will be a mix of in person and virtual sessions.
The event is designed to raise a global perspective and intercultural awareness amongst our students and to encourage them to take up an exchange opportunity within their degree.
In addition, there will be a research forum. This will afford participants the opportunity to present papers on their research to both faculty at the University and faculty from our partners participating in the event. In the past out of this, collaborative research projects have grown.
