Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts

Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts (TAFA), formerly known as Beiyang Women's Normal School, was founded in 1906 by Mr. Fu Zengxiang. It is one of the earliest public institutions of higher learning in China. In 1959, it developed into Hebei Academy of Fine Arts and became an independent higher art institution. Officially named Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts in 1980, it is a professional higher art college. It is one of the eight independent fine arts academies in China and a national-level innovation experimental zone for talent training models.

The school currently has two campuses, Tianwei Road and Zhicheng Road. The campus covers an area of ​​117,700 square meters and a construction area of ​​155,000 square meters. There are currently 22 undergraduate majors and 12 secondary colleges. Currently, there are more than 5,300 full-time students, including about 4,300 undergraduates and about 1,000 graduate students.
