We welcome applicants from around the world and often accept local country qualifications in line with the course entry requirements. If you have qualifications from India, we can review your eligibility for your programme of interest. Just send in copies of your academic transcripts and awards when you make your application. Alongside our UK team, we also have representatives in your country who can assist you with your application.

In order to support our long-term commitment and close relationships in India, our staff provide tailored counselling and assistance to prospective students and their parents on all aspects of studying at the University of Hertfordshire and the UK, including advice on application processes and documentation, pre-departure briefings, assistance with visa applications and help with securing University accommodation.

Regional qualifications and entry requirements
For the majority of our programmes, we typically accept the following qualifications from India:

| Foundation | Completion of the Standard XII Certificate with 50% or above. | IELTS 4.5 with no less than 4.0 in any band. |
| Undergraduate (year 1) | Completion of the Standard XII Certificate with 60-70% depending on points tariff required by UH course. Some courses may require specific subjects. | IELTS 6.0 with no less than 5.5 in any band for standard courses – some courses require higher Standard XII English with 65% will also be accepted. |
| Undergraduate (year 2/3) | Depending on qualifications and course - usually require 2/3 year Diploma post Standard XII to be considered. | IELTS 6.0 with no less than 5.5 in any band for standard courses – some courses require higher. |
| Pre-masters | Completion of Bachelor degree with 40% or above. | IELTS 5.5 with no less than 5.5 in any band. |
| Postgraduate taught | Completion of Bachelor degree in a relevant subject area with 55-65% or above depending on course. | IELTS 6.0 or 6.5 (depends on course) with no less than 5.5 in any band - some courses require higher Standard XII English with 70% will also be accepted. |
