What are my tuition fees?

Tuition fees are charged annually and change every year. They vary for UK, EU and International students, we recommend you find out about your fee status. Fees also depend on the type of course you're studying, i.e. foundation, undergraduate, postgraduate, research, part-time or online.

Key information

Some of our courses have a different (non-standard) tuition fee for UK, EU and International students. Please visit the fees and funding tab on each individual course page to check the fees for your course. Discounts (e.g. full payment discount) may not be available for non-standard programmes.

Some courses have additional costs for things like trips or special equipment. Depending on your course, you may need to buy equipment such as art supplies or laboratory overalls. You may also need to pay towards a field trip. Information about any additional costs associated with your course can be found in the factsheets on the course pages.

Sandwich programmes offer students the chance to take a placement or study abroad year, normally between years 2 and 3 (undergraduate), or after Semester A or Semester B depending on when you started your course (Postgraduate, Extended Masters). If you're studying a sandwich programme at Herts, we will not charge additional tuition fees during your sandwich year.

We have a strong track record of raising aspirations and widening participation. Read our access agreement to find out more.
