Outside spaces and parks
If you need some fresh air, the University is surrounded by parks, recreational areas and stunning countryside for you to explore.
Within Hatfield there’s the famous Hatfield House, a short bus journey away from campus. Hatfield House is a country house set in the Great Park on the eastern side of the town. Surrounded by large fields, sculptured gardens and covered walkways, the park is a great place to enjoy the sunshine. It plays host to many arts festivals throughout the year.
Further afield London plays host to many famous parks including Hyde Park, Greenwich Park and Regent’s Park.
On campus the College Green is the ideal space to grab some sunshine in-between your classes. Take in the 12 outdoor sculptures or simply relax in the sunshine. Ellenbrook Fields, directly next to our de Havilland campus, plays host to a weekly ParkRun and is home to lots of natural wildlife.
