Careers and enterprise portal – resources website
Our careers and enterprise portal houses all of our online tools and the most up-to-date information on career sectors, the jobs market and support for business start-ups.
Handshake – online network
Users can search for jobs and receive alerts, book advisor appointments, networking events, bootcamps and webinars, and connect with fellow students, Herts alumni, and over 5,500 employers.
GoinGlobal – overseas employment
Students and alumni considering working overseas enjoy our subscription to GoinGlobal, with country guides, job and employer listings and information about working abroad.
Student Circus – international student resources
A global career resources and jobs platform offering Herts students and recent graduates access to an online jobs board advertising skilled worker visa opportunities and placement roles both in the UK and in 30+ home countries. The site also contains exclusive access to country career guides, immigration information and a job-seekers toolkit.
Cobra – business start-up resources
Support for business start-ups, those considering self-employment and small business owners. It also includes advice on how to access micro-business funding.

Support for international postgraduate students

Postgraduate students joining us from outside the UK can access a range of tailored pre-entry careers sessions. After starting a course here, you can also access: a workshop programme to help navigate the UK labour market, access to Student Circus, support to find and secure placements, with an online step by step guide to securing a placement, and placement-specific drop-in sessions. We also send a regular newsletter to help keep career planning on track.
