February 2025: PCGIN stakeholder meeting

The PCGIN Stakeholder meeting will be held on 27th February 2025, joint with the UK Legume Research Community Meeting on 25-26th February. The venue will be Kew Gardens, in Richmond, London.

December 2024: VeGIN stakeholder meeting

We are pleased to invite you to our DEFRA Vegetable Genetic Improvement Network (VeGIN) Stakeholder meeting, which will be held both in-person at PGRO, Peterborough and via MS Teams on Thursday 12th December 10:30 – 3:30pm. As well as providing updates on our current projects, we are delighted to welcome our industry guest speakers: Robin Wood, Deputy Chairman at Elsoms Seeds Ltd and Johan Kos & Ilse Vlaar from Vertify (Netherlands). We will also be seeking input from you all in order to ensure VeGIN continues to address the concerns faced by our Stakeholders.

November 2022: PCGIN stakeholder meeting

The 2022 PCGIN stakeholder meeting will be held as an in person meeting at NIAB on Friday 18th November 2022.  We hope to provide a Zoom link to those who cannot attend in person.  We will require you to register to attend the event, either virtually or in person.  Timings and further details, including how to register, will be available closer to the date.

The PCGIN meeting will present the latest developments within genetic research on UK pulse crops.  A summary and practical context for research on disease resistance, agronomic and seed quality traits, and genetic tools and resources will be presented.  In addition, we hope to contribute industry perspective talks and relevant international developments.

June 2021 : AFCP Forum on Management of oilseed rape diseases and pests

This event took place as a hybrid event on 16 June 2021. AFCP would like to especially thank the University of Hertfordshire and the staff involved for their support in the organisation of this event
