Hardware-software co-design development

Our group is also building expertise in the area of system-on-chip design on the FPGA as well as in embedded systems.

The implementation of complex transceivers is in the focus using VHDL language tool to design digital signal processing part of advance modulation formats.

With respect to embedded systems design, the primary focus of our group is to upload developed layer-2 protocols on the FPGA embedded processor in order to test simulated protocols and algorithms over NG-PON distribution.

This will require translating the developed OPNET codes into C language to define the functions for the allocation of resources over the FPGA modules and the provision of the control plane for the physical layer.
