10.30 - 11.20 Design a new town – introduction to urban history – the history of utopian experiments of towns (Roman towns, garden cities, New Towns). 11.20 A day in the life of a History student 11.30 - 12.30 At Halloween, children are busy making and buying costumes. We see numerous little witches running around the streets with their brooms and bags full of sweets. But how did children fit into the real-life witch trials? What were their experiences? In this taster lecture, we will consider how Children used what they knew about witchcraft and demonic possession to their own advantage. How they pushed back against a society that was structured by religious norms and age hierarchies. -
