The University of Hertfordshire Business School believes in impactful and productive relationships with local employers, businesses and stakeholders to maximise mutually beneficial collaboration opportunities.
Our Advisory Board is an invited group of partner organisations and stakeholders who provide valuable input into the strategic direction of the School through quarterly knowledge exchange events as well as ad-hoc conversations when relevant. The Board are keen to exchange ideas and influence academic content to ensure it remains contemporary and delivers work-ready graduates.

Aims:
- Facilitate ongoing conversations between the University and industry
- Provide a networking forum to share ideas and best practice
- Advise on upcoming opportunities, challenges and emerging trends facing business
- Work with employers to continually improve student readiness for employment through relevant academic or professional studies
- Explore opportunities around how the University can help the regional business sector
- Enhance brand visibility of members and their businesses within the University
- Support research-active staff in their activities by facilitating engagement with industry
Each Advisory Board member is involved in one of five collaborative workstreams:
- Next-Gen Talent Pipeline - Connecting employers with business and management students for internships, placements and graduate roles
- Research & Innovation - Developing business collaboration opportunities with an active research community
- Skills & Workforce Development - Providing opportunities for upskilling staff through executive education, degree apprenticeships and CPD
- Future-Proofing Higher Education for Business - Contributing to design and development of strategy, operations and degree design
- Enterprise & Entrepreneurship - Connecting in entrepreneurs in residence, inspiring student entrepreneurship and the wider entrepreneurial community
