Resources from the Royal Society of Biology
New education during COVID-19 pages will be regularly updated over the coming weeks and months with advice, resources and announcements for schools, students and parents.
Gopher Science Lab – resource for primary pupils and parents
The Gopher science lab project was designed so that primary and secondary students could deliver science activities to primary pupils. The activities in resource booklet one can be carried out with everyday household objects, with the booklet providing instructions, a short explanation and questions that you may wish to ask a primary age student.
Gopher Science online training is available for primary teachers. Please email Cara Froggatt for further information regarding the online training.
The Biologist – resource for secondary students and teachers
Schools can now sign up to access digital issues of The Biologist and a range of other educational titles free for six months. Interested schools should contact our publishers or call +44 20 3116 0155.
The Nancy Rothwell Award 2020 – enrichment for primary and secondary students
The Nancy Rothwell Award 2020 specimen drawing competition for 7 – 18 year olds is now open for submissions. Prizes include an experience day at the Royal Veterinary College for students, and their school can also win £100.
