Law Clinic and Pro Bono
The Law Clinic is still operating for clients; all appointments are taking place via video conferencing. Students can still get involved in in the Law Clinic and Pro Bono activities.
The Clinic also provides free advice to students on employment, housing and family law issues. Students needing advice should email probono@herts.ac.uk.

There are a lots of resources available online to help you not only succeed in your studies whilst you work from a distance, but also to protect your own wellbeing. Below is a non-exhaustive list you can refer to. Whilst many of the services listed are provided by us, we do not control or necessarily endorse any of the external sites listed below but we hope they might be of help.

Specifically for Law and Criminology we have included ebooks published by Oxford University Press via Law Trove.

In addition to temporary access to Law Trove for core OUP ebooks we have now arranged a free trial to HeinOnline (until 15th December 2020). Access HeinOnline

Top tips
- The best place to find all the UH law databases and collections is the Legal databases page in the Law Subject Toolkit. This includes guides and help.
- If you have time to complete certification for Westlaw and LexisLibrary to enhance your CV.
- Create a free account and download up to 7 free textbooks using Vitalsource Bookshelf (up until the 30th June).
- Librarians are online Mon-Fri 10am-4pm to answer your questions using Module Chat in LibrarySkillUP.

FIKA
The University has an institutional license for Fika, a mental fitness app to help you manage and train your mental health. This app is a great resource, and has been updated with tools specifically to aid you during the COVID-19 isolation period. You can download Fika on Android and iOS devices. As a University of Hertfordshire student you get unlimited, free access, simply register on the app with your @herts.ac.uk username.
