UH Arts + Culture presented de Havilland Philharmonic Orchestra in Lockdown.

While the Orchestra wasn't able to meet during the pandemic, the musicians weren't idle! Here is a lockdown project from Clarinetist David Adams – Mozart’s Adagio in B-flat major, K.411

“Mozart’s Adagio for two clarinets and three basset horns has long been a favourite piece of mine but perhaps because of the unusual scoring it’s one that I’ve only once had the chance to play, and that was over 40 years ago!

Mozart writes so perfectly for the instruments playing to all their strengths and creates what seems to me to be a miniature masterpiece. With the advent of lockdown, and the extra time I had on my hands as a result, it was the perfect vehicle to use for my first attempt at multi-track recording. Here is played on four clarinets and a bass clarinet.”
