Chapman, Don
Don Chapman has been an avid Playhouse-goer since his teens.
From 1959–94 he was the Oxford Mail theatre critic. His history draws on the research for which the University of Leicester awarded him his doctorate in 2006.

Christianson, Bruce
Bruce Christianson is Professor of Informatics at the University of Hertfordshire, where he has taught since 1987
Born in New Zealand, he is a Fellow of the New Zealand Mathematical Society and a foundation Fellow of the Burgon Society, which promotes the study of academic dress.
He has published a number of learned articles on obscure aspects of academic dress and was a member of the committee that designed the scheme of academic dress for the University of Hertfordshire.

Paul Cullen is a Research Associate in the Department of English, Linguistics and Communication at the University of the West of England, working on the project Family Names of the United Kingdom.
He is also editor of the English Place-Name Society's Survey of Kent and an Honorary Visiting Fellow in the Institute for Name-Studies at the University of Nottingham.
