Universal Design for Learning

Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is an inclusive framework which aims to improve teaching and learning based on scientific insights into how humans learn, written and developed by CAST, a non-profit education research and development organization based in the USA. The UDL Framework and Guidelines, accessible on the CAST website, offer a set of concrete suggestions that can be applied to any discipline or domain to ensure that all learners can access and participate in meaningful, challenging learning opportunities. This makes them a fundamental reference point for curriculum design here at the University as this complements our goals on inclusive curriculum.
