Module Organisation
This section provides an overview of our approach to module development and organisation. Module organisation is an essential component of creating effective learning environments. A well designed and managed module enables students to easily locate learning materials, connect learning with assessment and develop a greater appreciation of module outcomes which is why our second Herts Learning principle is ‘Ensures Coherent Design’. At UH we have a systematic approach to designing module documentation and using this to support student learning. Each module has a space on our learning platform (Canvas ) which serves as an important communication, resource and learning hub to keep students informed of learning content, assessments, and professional body requirements. Module organisation is not simply about dissemination of information, but equally about making learning accessible to our students through, for example, the use of innovative learning technologies . All staff are supported in their journey of setting up modules which includes developing our modules in line with our Herts Learning Principles.
